So that’s what he did Monday night in the first of two San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo concerts at the AT&T Center. Ten of the 17 songs he played topped the country charts; most of the rest were Top 10. It’s a testament to Paisley’s consistency that the songs he played from his latest album, “Love and War” — the nostalgic “Last Time for Everything” and the forward-looking “Today” — are as strong as his earlier hits and perfectly book-ended the concert. (Think of the show-closing “Alcohol” as one more for the road.) From Brad Paisley and Kim Williams-Paisley to Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins, check out these adorable country music couples. There’s nothing flashy about this approach, but it’s as familiar, comfortable and well-crafted as a pair of faded blue jeans. The color and sparks came from Paisley’s electric guitars, bright red or purple paisley, and the solos that lit up almost every song, some pure country, others verging on arena rock. Mostly, though, Paisley showed up to work, which meant doing his best to turn an overcast Monday night in San Antonio into an American Saturday night. And he’ll be back on Tuesday to do it again....from News Page http://ift.tt/2CBQkD4 https://youbrandinc.com
